I'm looking for a way to limit the length of characters of the post title in the "Recent Posts" or "Featured Posts" widget. Basically, so that a really long title won't mess up the design and I can put something like "..." at the end of the title if and when that occurs. I can't figure out how to do this.

    Hello,

Sorry to dig up an old post but I'm looking for a solution to the same problem. However, (sadly) the GFWA plugin does not work for me (the option to set the content limit doesn't work and no 'read more' button appears after each entry.)

Is there another way to limit the length of characters of the post title in the featured post widget without using this plugin? A snippet of code for my functions file perhaps?

Many thanks in advance if you can help.

A user on the Genesis Facebook group solved this issue for me. For those searching in the future, this lady's solution worked WONDERFULLY for me 🙂
