    I am using "Category Post" Plugin to display posts from each category in the footer of the website : http://marineinsight.com/news/

    Is there a way in which I can limit the characters of the post titles to a certain value just like in http://www.maritime-executive.com ?

    Instead of using the "Category Post" plugin you can try the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified. It let's you set the length of the post titles in the widget without getting into extra coding.

    I tried using that,  but I am not able to change the size and color of the fonts to make it look like the "output" of "category post"...
