    I have searched the forum before posting, so apologies if this has been covered and I didn't find it. I am using he Lifestye Pro theme, and I set the default setting for the site as Content-Sidebar-Sidebar. All my interior pages get this configuration, but the homepage remains Content-Sidebar. Same behavior happens no matter what layout I choose, interior pages get it, home page stays the same. Is this the layout of the home page fixed by design? When you look at the site demo, it does appear that when you change layout the home page layout changes.

    Any help appreciated, as I have been banging away at this for hours, the goal is to get the Home page content-primary sidebar-secondary sidebar. ,

    The default layout is content-sidebar . You will need to force the sidebar-content-sidebar.

    Open up your front-page.php and look for this:

    // Force content-sidebar layout setting
    		add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );

    Change it to this:

    // Force content-sidebar layout setting
    		add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_sidebar_content_sidebar' );

    This helped me too and worked on the Daily Dish theme. AC, thank you so much!

    For anyone else struggling with this issue, I also had to change Readings --> Settings to "Display Latest Posts."

    Then I added the Featured Posts widgets in Home Top and a few other places and now my front page looks the way I originally intended.

    Cheers,
    Jennifer

    Does Studio Press need to better indicate what the layout changes?
    Do they also need to have a setting for the home page so we don't have to hack the code?
