    Hello!

    I'm just trying to get my head around the Lifestyle-Pro theme - I'm a little stuck and could sure do with some help.

    I'm trying to make the single widget area (above the fold span) the full length of the screen. I've worked out how to get around the wrap for the header and footer, but can't see how to do this for the widget (and secondary nav).

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Reposition the entire header to a different hook position.

    /** Reposition header outside main wrap */
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_open', 5 );
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_do_header' );
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_close', 15 ) ;

    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_header_markup_open', 5 );
    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_do_header' );
    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_header_markup_close', 15 );

    Thanks for posting. I previously found that article and added that same code (both for the header and footer). That bit is all good. What I'm trying to do is make the widget area (just under the header) and sec nav bar full sized too. Been searching and Firebugging but no solutions as yet...

    You can change the value for the width to 100% in the style sheet for the sub nav and header right widget.

    Hi

    Thanks for that, I appreciate your input.

    I think the issue is something to do with the container wrap. I have the width set for 100% for the nav and the top widget, as in the one immediately beneath my nav bar (the header is fine) and the thing is still not changing.

    When I make the container wrap larger the whole thing - text and all - spans across the screen, not what I want.
    Perhaps what I need to do is move the sec nav and top widget outside of the container wrap, just how I did with the header.

    Yes, that will work... but how do I do that?

    Cheers
