Hi, I uploaded a header image to Lifestyle Pro, changed the appropriate functions.php and style.css codes as per instructions in this thread http://www.studiopress.community/topic/lifestyle-3-0-missing-header-text-settings/.

However, when I turned the site title back on, my image shrank and everything got wonky.

The image is 1140?—240, and as far as I can tell by double checking all the instructions, I’ve made all the code changes necessary.

I did 2 screen grabs, first is with the full size header, second is after changing false to true in CSS under add support for custom header. Uploaded it as an image at http://vivadamao.com/discoverdaman/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/wonkyheader.png

    Dev site is at http://vivadamao.com/discoverdaman.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks much,
    Susanna

    Hi!

I just went to your site and your header looks perfect- this is what I am trying to achieve as well (image filling the entire header area versus the standard blue color flood).

How did you do this? What part of the code do I need to look for and override?

Any help is appreciated- thank you!

    Hi Marie,

Check out this article, http://wpsites.net/web-design/customize-lifestyle-pro-theme-header-image-area/, and also this thread here in the forum http://www.studiopress.community/topic/assistance-with-customizing-header-in-lifestyle-pro/

My problem is, I need to float the site title and tagline over the image, and when I turn on the text it gets all screwed up. I've been hoping someone would jump in here with some advice to help with that. . . you can see what happens if you click on the link above to the image.

    This is great, thank you!

I know your trying to float text over the picture, you should consider pulling that image into PicMonkey (http://www.picmonkey.com/) and go into 'Design' (set the custom specs for the header), pull your header image in, and then type the text over it. Its great because you can do a bunch of different fonts and see what works best. You can even put filters over the image and use different treatments. Its fun to play around, and its great to use for any image needs you have without using Photoshop. Best of all its free!

Marie, that's exactly what I was trying to avoid doing. . .

Ahh gotcha, well good luck! If I find anything about floating text in my ventures I will let you know.

Thanks for your help in the header!
