    Hi

Does anyone have any idea why the Lifestyle Pro Header image is not as bright and clear as the actual image uploaded.

Is the image going through some kind of optimization when uploaded?

I've only really noticed this happening to the header image in Lifestyle pro. All other images whether in a post or on any other theme seem to be fine.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem?

    Thanks in advance
    Malcolm

Don't know for sure without a demo, but is it applying an opacity to the non-hover state? So it knocks back the colors?

    Hi

    THanks for the reply

I don't see anywhere in the CSS file that is reducing the opacity of anythign at all, let alone the header.

That's exactly how the image seems though. Reduced opacity. Not in a non hover state though. It's like that ALL states.

    Cheers

Sorry, meant to put a link.

The image that is dull is on maldavidson.com/lutea

An example of how it should look is at http://www.lutea.com

    Thanks for looking.

To be honest, it just looks quite blurred, like it's been resized. Did you resize it when you uploaded it?

The lutea.com image is 935px wide, scaled up to 990px. The Genesis version is 1140px wide. Can you resize the original image (in PhotoShop or similar) to 1140px wide and try uploading that?

    Thanks
    Dom

I thought that but the image I uploaded was exactly the correct dimensions.

The lutea image is resized from a larger image.

I will try it again though just in case I am wrong.

    Cheers
