    Hello,

I just came through this page, http://wpsites.net/seo/add-last-updated-date-to-post-info-in-genesis-2-0-html-5-themes/ , searching to show the last modification date in posts and i have some questions. Let's start!

    1. If i choose to show both publish and last update date, which of them will appear at google? I suppose that it will be the last modification date as this one is written in the sitemap, right?

    2. My website is a greek one, so i want to have "από" instead of "by" near the author. Similarly, i want to translate "last update" into greek. Is it ok to just edit the php code or a matter of encoding will appear? Will the new php be translated if i edit again the .po & .mo files?

    3. Can you guide me to show the modification date (which will replace the publish date), or show the publish date if there's no modification date? I really think that's the best option!

    Thanks in advance.

I think these are questions you need to ask Brad who wrote that post. Post these as a comment on his blog post.

    Brad,

I tried the snippet meant to show when a post was last updated on, and it crashed my site. If it did ever work, it no longer does. FYI.

    Best regards,

    Maria
