    I'm working on a client site and looking at her title/header. I can't seem to get the header to appear centered.

    Try adjusting the width of #header to something like 350px.

    Awesome that worked.

    But, the text below the main header shifted left along with it. Is there a way to center that text?

    Add text-align:center; to the #title-area #description selector in your CSS.
