    If you go to the site I am creating, http://www.pickfishstudios.com, and scroll to the bottom, right before the footer section there is a bar that goes across the screen, in a different color. It seems as if this bar is a page or post section that isn't being used on this landing page, but still shows on the page anyway.

    How do I go about removing this section/bar, or at the very least change the background color on it to make it match the rest of the page and flow nicely. Right now it breaks up the page and makes it look shotty.

    Thank you in advance,
    KVancio

    Just remove the padding on the home page:

    .home .site-inner {
         padding: 0;
    }

    Best,
    Lauren

    Lauren,

    I thank you for your quick response. I just made the edit to the style sheet, but the bar is still there. Could it be something else?

    this is where i edited the style sheet.

    /* Site Containers
    --------------------------------------------- */

    .wrap {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 1140px;
    }

    .site-inner {
    background: #f5f5f5;
    clear: both;
    padding-top: 60px;
    }

    .home .site-inner {
    padding-top: 0px;
    padding-top: 3.125rem;
    }

    You're re-defining the padding top right after you make it zero - so effectively you haven't made a change at all. Just move the new line below the old line and you'll be good to go.
