I'm tryng to change the background colour of the default eleven40 pro landing page but can't seem to find the right element.

I've used firebug and inspect element found the element and was able to change it in firebug but when i change it in the css nothing happens!

This is the element I've changed in firebug which works, but when i find it in the css doesn't

When you open firebug after inserting that CSS, do you see the new lines? If not, it could be a caching issue. If so, are they being over-written?

I've made changes in the css now to padding at the top of the landing page to change it form 0 to 40px to give some space between the top of the title and the header and also change the background colour.

I made the changes in firebug which worked, then made the changes to the css and nothing changed.

After inspecting the element after the css seemed as it should be i.e. the changes had been made but visually they hadn't so i'm very confused. I've cleared the chache and tested on different browsers ;((((
