    Hello,

I have a News Pro theme and I am having an issue with the landing page functionality. I create my landing page and it works perfectly as a separate page, the issue is when I select my landing page as my static home page (I want the visitors to see my landing page first) it still shows the header and footer???

When I view the page without assigning it to the index page, it appears perfectly.

    What can cause this issue?

    Many thanks...

I have the exact same question!

    ZenBoy, what's your site URL?

    Hi,

I am working on my local server at the moment. The solution is really simple. The child theme uses. front-page.php for the main page. Just make a copy of the front-page.php in the same folder (as a back up) and name it front-page1.php

Then copy the php code from the page-landing.php and paste it into your front-page.php (delete the contents of the front-page.php first) and then save the file. At the end you should have these files in your root folder.

    - front-page1.php (with original code)
    - front-page.php (with replaced code from landing-pahe.php)
    - landing-page.php (untouched)

    That will fix your problem...

I am not sure it it is the most eloquent way to fix this but it worked for me.
