    Hello

I am a newbie to WordPress and Genesis. I have learnt a little about WordPress and started using Genesis a while ago. I want to work as a freelancer in the future making websites. I have read a lot that Genesis is a good framework, but I would like to know 'would I be confined to Genesis only'.

Is learning Genesis enough? What if the client asks me to make modifications to his WordPress website which is not powered by Genesis. I don't think so I would be able to do it with Genesis filters and actions. That means I should know how to make changes with both WordPress and Genesis.

I wanted to buy Genesis Theme Pro Bundle, but if I have to learn WordPress filter and other functionality along with Genesis filters and actions, then it doesn't make sense to invest in Genesis.
Or should I specifically look for jobs in Genesis.

Genesis filters and actions ARE WordPress filters and actions. Genesis is an advanced tool for developers. If you don't have the foundations of WordPress development down pat, you may find Genesis a bit over your head. Visit https://knowthecode.io/roadmap/genesis-developer-roadmap for a good overview of what it takes to be a Genesis developer.
