    I just set up the Genesis Framework and installed the Genesis Sample theme included.
    Was trying to use some jQuery plugin and realized jQuery is not loaded by Genesis?

    Do I have to manually load in the functions file?

    Kind of confused because other themes I have been using has jQuery already loaded.

    Pathetix,

    jQuery loading is handled by WordPress. Other themes may have loaded because it was needed.

    So if you want to load jQuery, you use the following in your functions.php theme file.

    This will load jQuery on every page.
