    As soon as I add a text widget to the top front page widget area, the page title jumps to the top of the page instead of disappearing, like in the demo.

    I just started setup but you're welcome to take a look.

    You definitely have a jQuery error that may be preventing the page from rendering properly. The error is SyntaxError: expected expression, got '<'. But since you have the files minified, I can't make heads or tails which script is causing the error, although the error message is reporting 6-layout.js. Turn off caching and minification while you develop. It's always easier to troubleshoot with this stuff turned off.

    Victor, thanks for the response.

    I have caching and minification turned off already. I also haven't touched the theme files yet.

    After deactivating all plugins, that jQuery error goes away. It was from a plugin, but unfortunately, the error still remains.

    I gave up on trying to find the fix so I patched it up with the following:

    .page-id-6 .entry-title
    {
    display: none;
    }

    It looks like site title is supposed to be removed on the home page from the front page template here:

    //* Remove After Header
    if ( is_active_sidebar( 'front-page-1' ) ) {
    remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'interior_open_after_header', 5 );
    remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'interior_close_after_header', 15 );
    }

    Cybersprout, I had luck changing the page template for the page I'd designated as the static front page from Default to Landing Page. That made the page title disappear from above the nav bar. When I tried your CSS trick, it made the titles of the pages in the section 3 widget on the home page disappear as well.

    Interesting. I wasn't using that widget section so I didn't even notice. Good to hear you found a fix, too!
