    Hi,

I've created a page template called front-page.php, I've created a sidebar / widget area for the top, where I have the Genesis responsive slider, and 3 sidebars / widgets down the bottom.  All works fine (although it may not look fine:).

    http://clienttest3.macsupportedlondon.co.uk/

I created a Page within WordPress dashbaord->Pages, called Home.  I was expecting that any content i put in here, like text and images, would appear in my landing page between that top responsive slider and the bottom 3 widgets. But this isn't the case.

The question is , how would a WP developer go about putting content between those widget areas when there's a front-page.php involved?  Does the 'Home' Page  play a role in the content for front-page.php at all?

    Many thanks for any insight.

Having properly read through the following tutorial:

    http://www.artofblog.com/building-a-genesis-child-theme/

...and cutting out the code that I didn't need, I managed to accomplish what i needed to do.  My mistake, apologies for that, but it was tricky!
