I'm just curious how others are handling infinite scroll with a responsive theme. I don't want to lose the sidebars on the mobile sites but I don't want to force a user to click on a desktop site either.

Any thoughts on a good way to do both in this case?

I haven't used infinite scroll on a site with a responsive layout but I would have thought turning off the infinite scroll on mobile / smaller screens and displaying the widgets below the main content would be the best way, possibly with a more standard next/previous post navigation setup.

Infinite scroll relies on downloading more post content quickly and displaying it in the stream every time the user reaches the bottom. When people are using mobile devices there is a strong chance that their connection speed is slower and therefore infinite scroll wont be as slick as on a desktop computer.
