    Is it possible to make changes to individual pages in the 'Midnight' theme without affecting the other pages?, i.e changing background color in the content areas.

    Used the page/post i.d which you can grab from the source code for any specific page or post.

    Or use a custom body class in the layout settings.

    Example:

    .postid-36618 {
    background: powderblue;
    }

    Hi there, I tried to do the same for executive-pro and added the script to style.css but nothing changed

    Check your markup classes http://www.genesisframework.com/markup.php

    Where did you put the CSS in the file?

    Tested this and it works:

    .postid-110 {
    background-color: powderblue;
    }
