    I'm using the lifestyle theme, this allows the uploading of an image to the header. It's quite small at present, ideally I would like it to occupy the whole the grey box above the category menu. thanks for any help on this

    The image you've uploaded isn't the correct size, but otherwise this should work:

    .site-title a {
         background: url(http://test-sites.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/banner4.jpg) no-repeat center center;
         background-size: 100%;
    }

    I removed the background-position line from .header-full-width.header-image .site-title a.
