I had a page on my site and wanted to redesign it - so I called the new page something different. When I finished the redesign, I renamed the original page and the URL so I could save it just in case I needed it. The I renamed my new page and give it the URL of the original page. Now when I try to view the page or any of the links to it on the site - the links redirect to the new URL of the old page instead of just going to the same URL they were going to.

Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

I am using the News Theme

    Thanks!

Are you using any kind of redirection plugin (or have you used one in the past)? Have you checked your .htaccess to make sure there are no redirects in place there?

I am using the plugin "Redirection". I tried putting in a redirection from the wrong page to the correct one, but that isn't working.

I don't know what .htaccess is. How do I check it?

    Thanks!
