I'm trying to create a small promo module in the primary sidebar column, featuring an image and text with link.

I have the code below, but the image isn't displaying. It gives me the broken image icon.

The image URL loads correctly in a browser, so I'm not understanding what's wrong with this code.

Does it need the <html> </html>. I've tried that but it didn't work either.

All you need to do is input the following into a custom HTML widget or another HTML area:

    <img src="YOUR-IMAGE-LINK-HERE" alt="DESCRIPTION-OF-IMAGE"><br>YOUR TEXT HERE

If you want to insert a link, use this code:

    <a href="YOUR-LINK-HERE.COM>LINK TEXT</a>

    Hope this helps!

    The correct link code is:

    <a href="YOUR-LINK-HERE.COM">LINK TEXT</a>
