Image in Genesis Slider

I'm using 'image widget' in the Genesis Slider and Agent Press theme. I want my static image to fill the slider space; however, when I upload the dimensioned image to the widget and insert it into the slider, the image only fills about 2/3's of the slider width, even if I dimension the photo at 300x900px. The height is fine but can't get the width to fit properly. Any suggestions to get this to work properly?

The space for the slider wasn't made to go all the way across. There is a widget on that side that was to hold the Quick Search (see the demo). Are you now saying you do not want that widget area and you only want a full width image there.

Thanks. Yes, presently I only want a full width image there; however, there are other agent press sites that I know of that use a full width image with search widget. Ultimately, I'd like to accomplish this... Take a look at: http://www.charlottehousehunter.com/ and http://www.columbiahomesforyou.com/

Both sites are using the Genesis Slider and not WP-Cycle. If you want things to work cohesively, you should stick with the Genesis Slider, set the slider image to the full with of that area.

I deleted WP-Cycle. My display settings in the Genesis Slider are 870(w)x400(h).

In the slider widget area I am using 'Image Widget' because it allows me to display a static image (the image is set to the proper dimensions) whereas the genesis widget only allows display of images from pages or posts which I don't want to do. Can't get it to work. Thanks.

It looks like your theme has a class of .slider with only a width of 610px. If you change it to 100% I think you will get the effect you are going for.

	float: left;
	width: 610px;
}

The style is on line 648 of your style.css file.
