HTML code suddenly not working in Widget area

Hi, I have the Modern Portfolio theme and up until earlier this week, I was able to use some HTML shortcodes in the "About Widget" for a gallery plugin so three different slideshows would run on the homepage. It suddenly stopped working 🙁 Here was the code:
<div class="one-third first">[acx_slideshow name="Home1" height="300px" width="300px"]</div>
<div class="one-third">[acx_slideshow name="Home2” height="300px" width="300px"]</div>
<div class="one-third">[acx_slideshow name="Home3” height="300px" width="300px"]</div>

I can use the plugin widget "Simple Slideshow Manager" in the "About" widget section, but then the three slideshows align vertically, not horizontally.

I've played with the css and php code, but I really am at a loss at how to fix this. Is there a way to either:

1) hardcode the shortcodes into the template or css

or

2) change the css (either of the template or of the plugin) so the three slideshows will align horizontally like they did before?

Try adding this to your functions.php if it isn't there already:

//* Enable shortcodes in widgets
add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');

I'm thinking your issue may be different since you said it was working before, but I always like to start with the easiest thing first. 🙂
