Have you requested your free website audit yet?June 27, 2018 at 12:46 pm #221163JackParticipantYes, I think a lot of users have or will have the same questions.
I wonder how the pricing will change?
If the All Plus memberships/accounts will change?I am excited about the new themes and the core but concerned about the dynamics and smoothness of how that will all take place.

The internal policy of the merger should not harm us. Well from now on, new studiopress partners can do whatever they want ....... but if they hurt us, clearly the value of the genesis framework is going to take fresh wind.
Let's wait to see what the CEO of Studiopress tells us, ah and sorry for my English, it's translated with Google since I'm Spanish and I do not speak practically any English, thanks
June 28, 2018 at 2:18 am #221183eamonmoriartyParticipantI would expect that Studiopress, when negotiating with WP Engine, would have made provision for the honoring of any commitments to existing customers.
If they didn't and if WP Engine doesn't honor the commitments, that would tarnish the reputation of both Studiopress and WP Engine and would leave them open to legal action.
Having said that, it is possible that WP Engine could discontinue development of some products (e.g. new themes). Who knows?
I had a lifetime account with another prominent theme developer who sold out to another company. All my account was transferred to the new company but no new themes have been developed for over 2 years, rendering my account useless.
As far as I recall StudioPress Pro Plus All-Themes Package entitles you to all current themes and any future themes. If WP Engine doesn't develop any future themes they are probably not in breach of contract.
As Victor says: "wait and see".

We are thrilled to announce that StudioPress has been acquired by WP Engine, the WordPress Digital Experience Platform....

David with WP Engine here. Great question. WP Engine is honoring all entitlements for existing StudioPress customers. This includes lifetime support as well as all future updates for those products.
I can confirm that existing customers will not lose your lifetime support, lifetime updates to the products you've purchased, and if you're a ProPlus customer you'll also get all the new StudioPress themes in the future.
As a pro plus customer, you'll continue to get new SP themes even if you're not on WPE. We even plan to release new themes at a faster pace than before 🙂

July 2, 2018 at 11:46 am #221285MartinMemberI just checked with WP-Engine. The discount is for the first year only. So our $297 a year sites just got bumped to $420. I am very disappointed in StudioPress and Brian Clark. I will look for a cheaper host. If I'm missing something, I'm all ears (or eyes, in this case...nyuk, nyuk...). Thank you.

Start by visiting the WP Engine page for StudioPress hosting customers at https://wpengine.com/more/studiopress-migration
July 2, 2018 at 8:38 pm #221297MartinMemberOK, yes, I was missing something. I was cut off in a support chat with WP-Engine after the rep said I would be paying more. Then I called but, again, got cut off before they clarified the price for two sites. So I posted what I found out...however:
Later this afternoon, I was able to get them on the phone again and was told I would pay $350 a year for one site (at the "Startup" level) but only $550 a year for 2 sites. Now, that's more like it!
Sorry for the confusion! (I would've just edited my initial post, but I don't see an edit button.)
