I am using Infinity-Pro theme. My question could be applied to all themes in general.

Since I am just launching a product, I want the site to be a one page/post site.

I edited the default post of Infinity Pro. That entire post appears on the main page but it has the category "File Under" line and at the top of post it has the date line (July 19, 2019 by mahesh).

How do I suppress both these items without touching the code (prefer to do it with settings or plugin).

You can try the Genesis Simple Edits plugin. If that doesn't work, you have to use code: https://my.studiopress.com/documentation/snippets/entry-header-html5/remove-entry-meta/
