    Not sure how fast you what your blog to be but try talking to your host for starters. Your site looks simple and clean if it's running slow it might be your service provider

    I highly recommend using Cloudflare to dramatically increase site speed.

    Currently, using Pingdom, your site is showing that it is faster than 63% of all sites tested. My site used to be in that same range, but using cloudflare in combination with a few other things, Pingdom now shows my site as faster than 98% of sites tested, so I am very happy.

    I am just using the free service from Cloudflare, so you can't beat the price.

    Take a look at your site through GTMetrix.com. It analyzes your site with Google PageSpeed and Yahoo YSlow. Your site scores a B and C in each process respectively. There are quite a few suggestions for speeding your site. Some of them are server related, which may be beyond your control or adjustable through .htaccess. Another big one is optimizing your images. There are plenty of free tools available for optimizing images. You may need to take advantage of them.
