    I've tried moving an image into the "images" directory in the child theme folder, and renaming the photo I want as the header to "logo.png", and setting the "Use for site title/logo" to "Image logo" but that only changed the title of my site to a small image up in the top left to a logo. I want to have an Image that takes up the entire header, but still shows my site title, and my custom menu widget.

    Any ideas? I'm looking through the wordpress codex, but having a difficult time. The header code in the codex looks nothing like the header.php file in the genesis theme. I'm using the Genesis-sample as a child theme if that makes a difference.

    I'm still searching through the codex, but I'm not sure where to look at this point

    I'm not an expert with the Sample theme, but I'd be inclined to add one in this area:

    .site-header .wrap {
    padding: 40px 0;
    }

    so that it looks like this:

    .site-header .wrap {
    padding: 40px 0;
    background: #fff url(images/headerbackground.png) repeat-x;
    }

    Ah. Thank you Susan. It looks like I under estimated the power of CSS. Also, I admire your work over there at pretty darn cute designs.
