I've removed the post publish date and the author, but I still have the word, "By" all by itself under the title of my posts.

I don't know where I have to go to remove this one word.

    Thanks for your help!

You may find it easiest to update it in the Simple Edits plugin, but if you don't want to use a plugin, use one of the code snippets here: http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/entry-header/

I'm sorry, but I need a little more hand-holding on this.

I cannot figure out how to use the Simple Edits plugin. I tried to paste the code for customizing the entry-header without the word, "By", but that deactivated the plugin. I did not include the opening php tag. Where should I put the code?

I've done a little php coding, but this is not something I have done before.

Thanks for any help you can give.

If you have the Simple Edits plugin installed, put whatever you want in the Entry Meta box (so, if you don't have the word "by" in there, it won't appear on your site.

Ok, now I see my problem. I did't get a screen that looks anything like what you show. It was only with your message that I discovered I should look for the plug in under Genesis, not under Installed Plugins. I was getting the raw code and totally lost in how to adjust it.

    Thanks! It works beautifully!
