    Hi,

I'm using Parallax Pro, but I guess the same question would apply for any infinite scrolling theme.

I want to keep the sticky header as it is, but would like to hide the site title when you land at the top of the homepage, but have it appear as soon as the user starts to scroll down. Likewise I'd like it to disappear again when you get back to the top of the homepage.

Does anyone know how i do this??

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply Christoph,
Do you know what I have to do with jQuery? I've only been able to find how-to's on creating the header for scroll sites, but nothing on dealing with just the site title. I'm a total jQuery novice!!
    Thanks

Would use the same method for header images, simply change the class to your site titles in the jQuery functions options.

Argh! I don't know if I've missed something obvious, but I've tried it a few times now and can't get it to work. Is there any common trap I might have stumbled on?
I've gone through the steps (which are really clear and easy to follow - thank you) on a clean version of Parallax Pro (i.e. not hacked around by me!) and still nothing. Only plugins I've added are Contact Form 7 and Really Simple Captcha, both of which I've deactivated. Any ideas??
    Thanks!

Can you post a link to your site/page ... so that we - or Herr Herr (sorry - couldn't resist) - can see what you've done?

It may be as simple as not having cleared down cache πŸ™‚

Well ... the good news is that you haven't actually uploaded the JS file proposed by Christoph to your server yet πŸ™‚

Mmm, I have (although I admit, after you mentioned it I did doubt myself!) - I've located it here: http://wearethefue.com/wp-content/themes/parallax-pro/js/hide-side-title.js - perhaps that's not the right place?

Yes ... well ... you have a little typo there, my friend. Let's see if you can spot it πŸ™‚

What a stupid cow!! That is an example of what happens when I start doing things before I've had enough coffee in a morning.
Thank you so much for your help and "proofreading". I may have to delete the links in the above posts and dissociate myself from such a stupid rookie mistake!

...I should say, it of course works perfectly now - thank you.
