    Hi everyone. I have tried to modify the navigation bar in Genesis Sample Theme so that its width is the same as
    content area. However after I changed the width of navigation bar, it will never align with the content area.
    I have tried to float it left , set its margin to 0 auto, and all failed. I am a newbie in php and css so this may
    be a stupid question but if anyone knows how to do it please help. Thanks.

    Can you show us a design mock-up of what you are trying to do?

    Thanks for your attention but I have solved it myself. I added the following codes to the style.css:

    .site-container {
    	max-width: 1140px;
            margin: 0 auto;
    }

    This is my site:http://genesistest.cu.cc, when compared with http://www.genesisframework.com you can see the header and navigation bar are left aligned with the content area.
