    I am using the Modern Studio Pro theme (not sure if it is relevant) and the desktop css is loaded on a mobile which slows down my site a lot.
    Is there a way to get it to not load on mobile?
    Would changing themes solve this? If so, which theme does not do this?
    Or, is AMP the only solution?

    You can use media queries to modify the CSS on smaller screens.

    You can also use wp_is_mobile() with wp_dequeue_style( $handle ) to prevent a CSS file from loading.
