I want the excerpts to have formatting. I read on the forums that the best way to do this is with manual excerpts. I am using this - i get paragraphs, but now the Read More button is gone.
I want the button back, and if I can, I'd like to change it to Continue Reading.
How's the best way to do this.
Anyone know how to get the more button back?
Ok, I followed the instructions. http://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt
I now see the link on the blog page. But
a) how do I get the link to appear on the home page?
b) And how do I get it to have the CSS style that the theme had applied to it before I changed it to Manual Excerpt.
(a) Adding the code snippet you referenced to Genesis > Custom Code > Custom Functions
Should make the change site-wide.
(b) To change the anchor text of the link, make this alteration:
Where you see this:
> Read More...</a>
Change it to the text you want:
Thanks for asnwering. Ok. I got it working. I just need to figure out how to apply the more class to it. Hmmm
