I am using a theme named Corporate Pro and I have made portfolio items with the default portfolio plugins of Genesis. But I want to edit the default name of the portfolio.
For example, it is showing http://www.example.com/portfolio/project-1, here I want to change the name /portfolio.

NB: I have attached an image for the issues

WordPress always adds the name of the custom post type to the URL. That's the way WordPress works.

If you want to rename portfolio to something else, you have to change the name in the init code.

If you want to remove posrtfolio completely, you have to change the rewrite rule: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/42120/remove-slug-in-taxonomy-url

Thanks for the response. For assuring, I don't want to remove the portfolio completely. I just want to rename the name. How can I edit the name of portfolio?

You didn't mention that you are using the Genesis Portfolio Pro plugin. The Corporate Pro theme does not initialize the portfolio CPT in and of itself.

This should provide you with the answer: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/change-url-slug-for-portfolio-type/
