    Hi,

I'd like to create a kind of "Welcome Message" for a WordPress page. The user can close it, and can even check not to show it again.

Here's an example in Copyblogger: http://bit.ly/1qpyzAk

As you can see, you have a "div" element with a message for the user. You can click the "X" button to close it and don't show it again (they do with a cookie).

Any advice on how to create such a welcome message?

    Thanks in advance

The easiest way to achieve this is with one of many (hundreds?) of available plugins:

Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.

Thanks @Tom, but I'm not looking for a popup plugin.

I'm using one, but what I'm looking for is to show an "inline" message that can be closed forever. Don't want a popup here.
