I'm trying to find out how to create a content section that spans the full width of the content area on a page on Metro that has a different background color than the rest of the page.

I've tried just created a div with background color, margin-left: -80px, etc. etc. but no bueno.

Anyone know how I can do this easily?

My site is only available by proxy right now unfortunately.

Basically, in Metro, how do you get a div with a red background (for instance) to span from edge to edge of the content area? Once it reaches the padding, it disappears behind the padding. I can't get it edge to edge.

Okay, here's an example (hopefully the DNS has propogated and you're looking at the correct site -- I just changed the DNS a couple hours ago).

I want the grey div to touch the edges of the white content area.

Did you or anyone else ever figure out how to do this?
