How to completely remove Genesis footer credit?

I'm building a simple blog with the Magazine Pro theme and would like to remove the credits section at the bottom of the page. I added this code to the functions.php...

remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer' );

This removes the credits, but leaves the remaining black space behind it. This is a step forward, but is there a way to remove this section entirely?

	padding: 60px 0;
}
