ParticipantHi,
I want to change my background header image and include an "join my mailing list" image that links to a page where users can sign up for my newsletter. It seems like there should be an obvious answer to this question, but I have spent hours trying to figure out how to change the URL that my header image links to. It currently directs viewers back to my home page: http://drcarla.com/home/
If anyone can help, that would be awesome. I am also wondering if it's possible to actually embed the newsletter sign up code directly into the header. I tried to do this in 2011 and posted about it on the forum, but I can't find the old threads.
Thanks!

KeymasterWhat you could do is, create the header leaving a space on the right to utilize the Header Right Widget area which is approximately 468 x80 but you can change that if you need to. Look at the demo - http://demo.studiopress.com/serenity/. See all the space next to the Serenity name/logo on the right - if you activate the Header Right Widget area, it will show up there. Or you can reposition the widget using your CSS. If you need more help, let me know.

ParticipantI redesigned my header after asking this question. Do you have any ideas about how I could make this work with the following header?: http://drcarla.com/images/New%20Headers-Tall.png
1) How can I turn the entire header or a clickable area (the hot pink section at the bottom) into the URL that directs to my mailing list sign up form? Can I reposition the right header and move it to the bottom? If so, will the widget overlap on top of the image?
Could I insert an invisible image in that area and link it to my desired URL? If so, would the rest of the image (not in the widget part) still link to my home page?
2) How can I reposition the right widget so that it shows up in the hot pink area of my header at the bottom so I can insert a form where they can enter their name and email address directly into the header?

KeymasterWithout the header actually being in position on the site, I can't help with the CSS. I can use Firebug and pinpoint where everything is at. But it doesn't look like the new full header is in place. The header right widget can be repositioned via CSS.
