I upgraded to HTML5 and the latest WP and Genesis using a converter linked to from the SP blog. I had a few issues but chose to just stop using one of the widgets that screwed up the formatting.

What is annoying me now is that I can't seem to work out how to change the background color of the footer area on the home page in Safari (on the Mac and the iPad it doesn't work - but it works fine in Firefox - WT?!).

AND the blog page and single pages have a black background in the footer area just like they should have! So it is just the home page I'm having issues with.

I'm hoping it is something Genesis specific?

    Would appreciate some advice. Cheers.

Have you tried using Firebug addon to inspect which element you should edit?

Here's a tutorial we published early this week http://wpspeak.com/firebug/
