How to change the default text in sidebar widget area?

I like that the default text only shows to logged in user, something I just recently discovered 🙂 However, I'd like to change the text it displays. Where can I find that text? Or if it's part of Genesis core, how can I override it? I would like to change...

This is automatic text generated when no widget is added to the sidebar. To show empty or different text, drag a text widget into the sidebar area and add text that you want to display.

For showing no text (completely empty), add nbsp; in the text widget added to the sidebar.

Hi Davinder, thank you for your reply but my point is to use the dynamic functionality of the sidebar:

- The text is visible only to the logged in user
- It disappears when a widget is added to the sidebar

Since posting this I did find where the text is hard-coded in the file /genesis/lib/structure/sidebar.php. I tried copying that file to /genesis-sample/sidebar.php but that resulted in the sidebar going blank. I understand that is the proper way to override. Apparently I'm doing it wrong.

Thanks again Davinder, but I'm not trying to change the functionality... just the text. Too bad it's hard-coded into Genesis theme. That's one thing I notice a lot about many WordPress themes and extensions and even WordPress itself -- MVC design is so often neglected where language files really should be used. Oh well, I guess I'll just edit the hard coded text and be done with it.
