    Hi all,

I want to change the values of the viewport as displayed in the <head> section of a web page of a responsive site (<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">).
But al I could find is the 'header.php' file in 'lib > structure' from the Genesis framework, and I really don't want to change that file because when an udate comes I loose those changes.
How can these changes be done inside a Child Theme?

    b.t.w.
I want it to change to <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width"> so without the 'initial scale'.

Changes to the <head> section can be done by going to Dashboard > Genesis > Theme Settings > scroll all the way down to the "Header & Footer Scripts" section.

    Susan,

I thought so to, but when I do that, I end up with two lines of <meta name="viewport" ...>. I have a feeling that this leaves me with a <head> section that is not very correct or at least confusing.
So, I found this simple solution:
Add remove_action( 'genesis_meta', 'genesis_responsive_viewport' ); to the functions.php file of the Child Theme, and add the desired <meta name="viewport"...> via the WP Dashboard in Genesis Theme Settings (just as you described).
