    I'm using the Genesis Sample Theme with Gutenberg, and have a single widget, Simple Social Icons, that I'd like to center at the bottom of the page.

    The widget is currently displayed in Footer 1, but when I move it to Footer 2, thinking that will center it, it's no longer visible. I thought perhaps it may need some other widget in front of it, so I put a text widget in Footer 1, but it still won't display in Footer 2.

    I'm not at all familiar with how the Footer widgets work, so couldn't really tell much from inspecting this.

    It is possible to center a single footer widget without coding, or does this require manipulating the CSS?

    Thank you
    Doug

    I'm not sure about your Footer, but this is how I centered two widget areas where the theme wanted to show them side-by-side:

    .front-page-2 .flexible-widgets.widget-halves .widget_media_gallery {
    width: 100%;
    float: none;
    }
    .front-page-2 .flexible-widgets.widget-halves .widget {
    width: 100%;
    float: none;
    }
    Let me know if this is helpful.

    @memerunner put a empty Custom HTML widget on Footer 1 and then the social icons in Footer 2. The footer widgets need Footer 1 to enable the Footer widgets area.

    Thank you both.

    @Anita
    , I had to add something to the Custom HTML box, so just made a "." and then make it the same as the background color. Not sure if there's a more elegant way to do that, but it solved the issue.

    thx
