When I choose "Genesis: User Profile" widget on widgets panel and drag it under sidebar widgets, it makes me choose oneuser and that user is displayed on every post regardless of the author. But I want the related authors of different posts displayed.

    How do I do this?

    I use eleven40 pro.

    Regards,

Thats how its coded. Anything else and you will need to find a plugin which includes the functionality you need or use custom code.

Search the WordPress plugin repository for suitable plugins. https://wordpress.org/plugins/

Thank you for your response Victor. I did that but no luck. Any idea using what keyword I should redo the search?

Nope. I have no idea. This question has never been asked of me before.

Although, I just Googled "display author box in sidebar" and it returned 7.5 million results. https://www.google.com/search?q=display+author+box+in+sidebar&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1

    Wow, what are the odds?

I literally just created an account on the forum to ask this exact question, re: why doesn't the User Profile widget dynamically display the actual post author data?

I guess multi-user WP sites aren't the intended target for StudioPress.

This seems like a fairly obvious feature IMO.

Anyhoo... looks like I'll be plugin-searching today.

By definition the User Profile and author details are completely different and separate entities. User Profile is only for the user logged into WordPress. Since WordPress supports multiple authors, you would have to use a different plugin or write your own.
