    Hi,

I'd like to start displaying post excerpts in my archives and search results rather than the first few sentences of the posts. The problem is that I have never entered anything in the custom excerpt fields for my posts. However, I have always entered custom meta descriptions by using Yoast's WordPress SEO feature.

I would like to duplicate those custom meta descriptions into the post excerpt fields. Is there a way to automate that work, or do I have to manually copy the meta description and paste it into the custom excerpt field for every post? I have over 300 posts so that would be very time consuming.

I've asked about this in the forums for the Yoast plugin and no one has helped me there.

    Thank you!

    Kate
