    Hey there!

    We're trying to create a custom page template with a width that's *less* than full width - maybe about 60%, but still centered on the page.

    With our limited CSS/PHP knowledge we made a page template that displays full width (no sidebars), but we're not sure what code to edit to create a non-full width page.

    Could someone give us some direction on how to do so?

    Thanks so much,

    Hi,

    You can add:

    .page-template-***** #content {
    	float: none;
    	margin: 0 auto;
    	width: 60%;
    }

    Where .page-template-***** is the body class of your custom page template.

    YOU ARE FANTASTIC.

    Thanks so much, Greg!

    For those clueless CSSers like us reading this thread later, here's the path to how we used this:

    1) We added Greg's code above to the functions.php and changed the ***** to the name of our template ("wide-template")

    2) We edited our wide-template.php like this:

    [CSS]$classes[] = 'portfolio';[/css]

    became

    [CSS]$classes[] = 'page-template-wide-template';[/css]

    I think we may be geting the hang of this. Thanks, Greg, for your support!
