    Hello people,

    It's me again with a silly question. I am using Metro pro and I need to hide the footer widgets area on pages, so I wrote this code on functions.php but it didnt work at all:

    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'wpsites_hide_footer_page' );
    function wpsites_hide_footer_page() {
    if( is_page() ) {
    remove_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'genesis_footer_widget_areas' );
    }
    }
    I am not sure, but I guess it has to be something about the hook names in Genesis 2.0.

    Sridhar, if you are still around, I am wondering if you know the answer to a similar question for the Education theme? I would like to be able to show the footer widgets only on the homepage, but not on the remaining pages of the site. I tried using the code you posted here for Metro theme and it did not work.
