I am trying to add 4 portfolio type images to the Home Middle on the Crystal theme.

I have added two Featured page widgets but the pictures are stacking up on top of each other instead of lining up side by site?

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Roger

You could insert the images into a new post draft using the native insert media feature (choose alignment: none for each image) and paste the HTML for your images into your widget area using the text widget in home middle.

You can also edit each image in the post draft and add spacing using the advanced settings for each image.

Tested on your theme in the home middle widget and works.

Thanks for the info, but surely there must be an easier way?

OK. Just needed to clear the browser cache.

That is the easiest way Roger.

It will only take you a few minutes.

I have also run into this issue, and this solution is less than satisfactory, I must say. I can implement this solution as a developer, but my client will not be able to do the same, as they add more items (posts) to their portfolio. It seems that surely the theme core should be made to force horizontal alignment under any circumstances, especially if that is what the theme demo showed. To have to force horizontal alignment the way Brad is recommending here, on a post-by-post basis, for a client would be completely unacceptable to them. Certainly, Brad's workaround is NOT the way the theme designer presented how things should work, taking from the tutorial on setting up the theme. Not beating on you Brad, but just also saying, surely there can be an easier way.
