    Hi,

    I have a category called 'photo' which i want to hide from the home page when ever i put a post into it. Instead i want these posts (from this category) to appear in the primary or secondary sidebar widget in the form of thumbnails only (4 or 6).

    How this can be achieved in Prose theme?

    Try this http://wpsites.net/web-design/exclude-category-posts-page/

    Use the Genesis featured posts widget to display your thumbnails.

    yes thanks but using the featured post widget shows the thumbnail in single column. Can we increase the number of columns so it could cover the entire width of Sidebar?

    Sure. Use content columns to increase the columns and full page width to extend to the sidebars

    Modify this code snippet and replace the category i.d and conditional tag with your own.

    Code not displaying? Grab it on Github

    Change this in the code is_page_template('page_blog.php')

    To something like this:

    is_home()
