I am using the Executive Theme and Genesis Framework on my site. I have become aware that media queries are what control the layout / orientation from one screen size to the next. But to be perfectly honest, I cannot make enough sense of the media queries to accomplish what I am hoping to do.

If someone could shed some light on this issue or could point me in the direction of some tutorials, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to have differing layouts which are dependent on screen width. In a nutshell, I don't think I want to use media queries.... I think. lol

I would that the header, sidebar, content area, columns, etc do not get re-arranged based on the screen size of a computer monitor or mobile device. I would prefer it functions like this site..... http://executivewheels.net
This is another site I am working on. The theme installed on this site functions in the way I prefer. When I view this site, for example my iPhone 5 (screen width of 640px)... the site is "shrunk" to fit the screen, rather than re-arranged.

My site http://www.preferredcustoms.com was originally built with the same theme that is currently being used on http://executivewheels.net. My site was not originally designed with media queries in mind, so I think what would be best for now is to remove the functionality of the media queries. I cannot go back to the old theme as it was vulnerable to malware.

How can I edit the stylesheet of the Executive Theme to make the site "shrink" to size, rather than get re-arranged with media queries?

Simply removing the media queries from the stylesheet didn't accomplish this... so what else do I need to edit?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Joey - you also need to remove reference to mobile responsiveness in your functions.php file.
