My client recently wrote a blog post with another regular author on the site. So she'd like to have both authors listed at the top. You'll notice in the following link that only she is listed:

Find the Courage to Train Your Board: 6 Simple Tips

It ought to say "By Andrea Kihlstedt and Andy Robinson" with Andy's name linked to his post archive, like Andrea's.

I installed a plugin that should handle this called "Co-Authors Plus". There is also a Genesis plugin that's designed to work with this which I installed. But alas, while I can add both authors to the post on the back end, only Andrea is showing up in the byline on the front end.

I did some digging, and it looks like what I probably need is a custom function that works with the Co-Authors Plus template tags, to incorporate them into my theme. Here's the info:

But I'm unsure of how to create that function. Can anyone help?

    Many thanks,

    ~Brian

The problem is, template tags won't generally display inline with the genesis entry meta in the entry header so you need to create a custom shortcode which would take some coding as its not a standard shortcode used in Genesis.

    This may help:

Bri, using Genesis Simple Edits you'll be able to make use of the new shortcode that Co-Authors Plus creates.

Change the shortcode in "Post Info" to be [post_authors_post_link] and it'll work just fine. I have Co-Authors Plus and Genesis Co-Authors Plus installed on 4-5 different sites to accomodate guest authors without giving them actual accounts.

Thanks so much, Summer! That worked like a charm.
