How do I copy the Genesis footer file to my child theme?

Support suggested using the genesis_after hook, but did not give me instructions on how to do this.

I have to put my uservoice script code in it -

Putting it in the Header & Footer scripts box in theme settings is not putting it right before the closing body tag - see - http://screencast.com/t/qTPn5hAZkYY

Right now, it interferes with my calendar plugin - so if I can move it down to the end, perhaps this will not be an issue.

Install the Genesis Simple Hooks - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-simple-hooks/. Then look for the Genesis_After hook box and place it in there and save it.
