    Hello everyone,

This is more of a generic question...

I'm using the Genesis sample child theme but have found that it is not as responsive as I want.
I have found another theme that appears to be a lot more responsive.

    The questions are:
    1. If I substitute the one child theme for the other, I assume that all the customizations I made in the Editor will be lost?

    2. Would all the customizations take effect in the same way if I went ahead and copied and pasted them into the new child theme via the Editor?

    3. What process would you follow?

Once again, I appreciate your input.
    Regards
    Greg

Never use the Editor, it can cause you a white screen of death if you make a typo in the functions file. Learn to use FTP, that way you always have a local copy of files (not database) on your computer. I would also suggest making a clone of your site before you make any major changes, that way you can always revert back. There are a lot of free backup plugins that have this option.
